There was no evacuation plan in the room. I thought this was a legal requirement. In an old building I always like to know where the fire exits are without having to go looking for them. The bathroom door did not have a strike plate on the door jamb it so it would not close properly. Obviously the room had just been renovated and it was the first time someone had stayed in it since the renovation.
I would recommend that when a room is deemed to be "ready" after renovations, a member of staff should stay overnight as a guest so that these little details are taken care of. Otherwise, although the room was quite small, it was clean and quite well appointed. Maybe just a little expensive for what it was.
Great so close to DFO and Telstra Dome. Great proximity to the CBD too.
